Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our team in the TMT and Construction business. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in sourcing, procurement and managing suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials required for our projects. Responsibilities: Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for the procurement of construction materials, specifically in the TMT sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers. Procurement Planning: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives. Plan and execute the purchase of TMT bars, construction steel and related materials. Cost Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements. Monitor market trends and leverage industry knowledge to negotiate competitive prices.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials meet quality standards and specifications. Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct inspections and resolve any quality-related issues. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and inventory. Generate regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings and vendor performance. Supply Chain Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers and site engineers to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Address supply chain challenges and implement effective solutions. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and ethical standards in procurement processes. Stay informed about industry regulations and maintain adherence to company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field. Proven experience as a Purchase Executive in the TMT and Construction.
Strong negotiation skills and a track record of successful vendor management. Familiarity with construction materials, particularly TMT bars and steel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using procurement software and MS Office applications.
